Christine Leddy, certified Botanical Illustrator and Artist, is pleased to present her collection of original botanical artwork.  Meticulously drawn in colored pencil, watercolor, pastel and silver point, these illustrations depict the form, color and details of a plant species during one or several phases in the complicated process of its life cycle.  Created with patience and careful attention to detail, these drawings capture the spectacular beauty of nature’s creations.

The Easton Public Library is proud to host an exhibition of works by Botanical Artist Christine Leddy.

The botanical art tradition combines both science and art. Botanical Illustrators have collected and catalogued specimens for centuries in a very structured style. Contemporary botanical artists interpret nature with a fresh exciting approach.

Christine Leddy is not only an accomplished watercolor and colored pencil artist, her endeavors include antique reproduction needle arts and jewelry. This show encompasses much of her collection.
